The cod and chips were made fresh to order and were delicious, the best I’ve had in a long time. The staff were lovely and there was seating available for customers to sit and wait for their order. Highly recommend!

This is the best fish and chips I have had this year, round here. The plaice and chips is really nice and not as expensive as other fishbars. My friend had a nice pie with medium chips and the chip portion size was more like large. We had a takeaway and really enjoyed it. This is the place (plaice) to go for proper fish & chips.

It was a wonderful experience. While staying in an Airbnb in this area, we were wandering around looking for something to eat for dinner. We saw it and thought we'd try it because it had such a high rating. We're glad we did. The fish was incredibly filling and delicious. They also offered us tea when they realized we were Turkish. I had tried the fish and chips, a while back, when visiting a friend and have been meaning to go back since, and so, I took my mum on a Friday and we were thoroughly impressed by the quality of food; the chips were hot and not oily and nor was the fish. The batter was light, which I know my mum appreciated because sometimes she has to peel off the excess batter from the fish. The service was excellent and the gentleman who served us was so accommodating and friendly, thank you! We decided to sit down in the shop, to eat our food and the atmosphere was great, very clean and pleasant. We’ll definitely be back!
